Meet Anit Jindal
I am a Portlander, father, and attorney.
For over a decade, I have represented clients in high-stakes disputes that often hold statewide or national significance.
Justice. Fairness. Rule of Law.
Strong state courts are an important feature of a functioning democracy.
As a judge, I will support the rule of law and the constitution.
Win or Lose, everyone deserves to feel heard by the court.
I have represented clients of all sizes: individuals, large companies, small businesses, cities, and even the State itself. I can look at cases from all sides and reach fair and impartial decisions.
Experienced
I have the varied experience necessary to be an effective circuit court judge. I was proud to be a part of the trial team that defended the firearm safety law, Measure 114, in state and federal court. I have also represented small businesses in trade secret cases, individuals in tort suits, neighbors in property disputes, parties in contract disputes, and government officials in environmental suits, to name a few.
I am a legal nerd who is frequently called upon to speak or write on emerging areas of the law. I have presented at the League of Oregon Cities, the American Constitution Society, and the Oregon State Bar Government Practice Section on topics such as the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, and Oregon’s Sanctuary Promise Act. I recently co-authored the State Bar’s BarBook chapter on the relationship between state and federal Courts. I will be ready on day one to handle the busy and complex docket of a Multnomah County circuit court judge.
Lucy wants you to know that I am also on the Board of Directors for DoveLewis Animal Hospital.
Community Involvement
Access to justice is a passion of mine.
I am Vice President of the Multnomah Bar Foundation, which provides free drop-in childcare for litigants at the downtown courthouse and provides a helpdesk staffed by a bilingual courthouse navigator in the lobby of the courthouse. I am also a recent past board member of the St. Andrew Legal Clinic, which provides low-cost family law services to individuals that would not otherwise be able to afford them.
As a judge, I will work to ensure that the courthouse is safe and available to all members of our community.
